Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Please read this Disclaimer carefully before beginning the SteadyPath program. By using SteadyPath, you acknowledge and agree to what follows. This Disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Service.

Not medical advice

SteadyPath is a general fitness and wellness program. The videos, written lesson summaries, comments, community posts, and any communications from SteadyPath are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows you personally.

Although the program is designed and narrated by a nurse, participating in the program does not create a nurse-patient, doctor-patient, or any other professional healthcare relationship between you and Kathleen Loving Harner or SteadyPath.

Consult your doctor first

Before starting SteadyPath — or any new exercise program — please talk with your doctor or another qualified healthcare provider, especially if you:

  • are recovering from surgery, an injury, or a fall;
  • have heart, lung, joint, back, or balance conditions;
  • have diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, or any chronic illness;
  • take medication that affects blood pressure, dizziness, or balance;
  • are pregnant, or have any concern about whether an exercise is safe for you.

Listen to your body

Move within your comfortable range. If a movement causes sharp pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness, or any warning symptom — stop immediately and seek medical attention. Do not attempt movements that feel unsafe for your body, your space, or your equipment.

Assumption of risk

Physical activity carries inherent risks, including muscle strain, falls, and injury. By choosing to participate, you voluntarily assume all such risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kathleen Loving Harner and SteadyPath are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in the program.

Emergencies

SteadyPath is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (in the United States) or your local emergency number immediately.

Member content

Comments, community posts, and suggestions from other members are their own opinions, not medical advice, and are not endorsed by SteadyPath. Treat member content with the same care as any online conversation.
